THE POLYTECHNIC LIBRARIAN

Dr. Kehinde Olubunmi Ogunbote, CLN

Dr. Kehinde Olubunmi Ogunbote is the Ag. Polytechnic Librarian. She attended African Church Grammar School, Apata and Ibadan Grammar School, both in Ibadan from 1979-1984. She proceeded to St. Theresa’s College, Ibadan in 1984 and had her GCE A ‘Level in 1986.

She gained admission into Ogun State University, (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago-Iwoye where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts (B. A. Hons.) degree in Religious Studies in 1989 and a Master of Library Studies from the prestigious University of Ibadan in 1992. She also attended Redeemed Christian Bible College for her P.G.D Theology in 1999.

Mrs. Ogunbote began her career at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye as a Librarian between April, 1993 to 30th September, 2009 where she was the head of the Technical Services Division, Acquisitions Section and Readers’ Services Division. She was a representative of the University Librarian on the Faculty Board of Basic Medical Sciences, Social Sciences and a member of Academic Ceremonies’ Committee.

She is the Deputy Polytechnic and Acting Polytechnic Librarian in Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo.

Mrs. Ogunbote’s professional bodies include Nigerian Library Association (NLA); Society of Nigeria Archivist; Circle of Concerned Women Theologians; Reading Association of Nigeria; Associate of Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria; Nigerian School Library Association; Association of Women Librarians in Nigeria and European Centre for Research Training and Development, U.K as well as Committee of Polytechnic Librarians in Nigeria (COMPLIN).
